Damp Specialist surveys and treats moisture in UK houses and flats: rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation, wet basements, mould fed by those defects, and the timber that has stayed wet. The first visit names the cause. Treatment is specified only for that cause. A chemical damp proof course is not the default, and anti-mould paint is not a repair.
How the work is decided
Survey before a product is sold
Moisture metres, salts in the plaster, ground levels and rainwater goods come before a specification. Thermal imaging is used when the pattern on the wall is not enough on its own.
We will say when it is not rising damp
Condensation, a bridged damp proof course, a leaking pipe and rain through failed pointing are common reasons a low stain is not rising damp. Those jobs are written up as what they are.
Booking is a form or a WhatsApp message
Send the property type, the rooms that are wet, and how long the mark has been there. Morning, evening and weekend survey visits are available. The reply is a time for the survey, then a written quote.
The guarantee matches the work installed
Treatment we install, including a damp proof course specified after a rising-damp diagnosis, is covered by the written guarantee for that installation, up to 30 years where that system is guaranteed. Decoration, gutters left for you to clear, and defects we did not repair are outside it.
